true; there are two things that can been done here:

* use the timeout feature; so you could put your fortune app to time out the 
notification in, say, 5 minutes. or 30 minutes, if you prefer. :) that should 
fix your immediate issue (see: kdialog --help | grep passive)

* introduce an importance level indicator, perhaps the one in the galago spec 
expanded to something more useful, in KNotify
