Review Request: Added "pendulum" effect for plasma animations

for scripting, yes. but also so we can provide custom easing curve types (e.g. 
a pendulum) and then the developer can pair it with a given animation. with 
that, you have everything the pendulum patch offers, only without any 
hardcoded pendulum feature :)
