Hi Jean,

I'm forwarding your email the plasma development list as it's likely
that someone on there was the author of that tutorial. The guys there
should be able to help you.

Hi Matt,
(I'm newbie to plasma development)

Seems that there's a bug in the python battery tutorial:

http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Plasma/PythonPlasmoid

I'm running kubuntu9.04 with kde 4.3.1. I tried this fix:
http://osdir.com/ml/plasma-devel/2009-08/msg00220.html
And then I'm getting similar output that the one reported there:

connecting to battery
/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/computer_power_supply_battery_C1F3
Unrecognized character: /
Unrecognized character: /
ERROR: syntax error
Charge: 80%
Object::disconnect: No such slot
QObject::dataUpdated(QString,Plasma::DataEngine::Data)
Object::disconnect:  (sender name:
'/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/computer_power_supply_battery_C1F3')

Would be nice to get in touch with the tutorial writer/developer, but didn't
find her.

Best regards,

Jean Pierre
