it would be nice to avoid a config option for something like this, esp since the reason for wanting it is because it causes some use case issues. i'd much rather see patches that try and improve the flow of this feature.

for instance, instead of being triggered by simply mousing over a folder, perhaps the folder could have an icon action (like the ones in gwenview or dolphin that appear on top of the icon itself) which when clicked would initiate the popup.

what do you think?
