I can understand that, but I have no better idea than a (vertical or
horizontal) tab bar to switch from activity to activity. Zoom take too
much resources and I don't think it make sense on such small devices.

Open question to every reader: How to switch from activity to activity
on a MID? Something that is visible to the user right from the start
and do not take too much space.

One other idea would be a slide down display like yakuake, blender
config, and iPhone context menu.

In that case, the top area would only be a panel with autohide, but I
don't like that, it fell to much like a palm and I don't like those
devices. On netbook, I would use tab bar it work well. iPhone and iPod
touch solved the problem with the "only one application at the time".
I work, but I am not sure it will work for KDE and it is not how
plasma work at all. Any better idea?
