depends on how it would look; there's also the issue of vertical space used...

mouse wheel and arrows would both work.

do you mean for things like the context menu (to desktop, minize, etc)? that 
could be added... i don't think we need to make the tasks widget not show the 
group menu on click when there is composite, though.
