Wanting to know it it is inactive instead of invisible? The two do not 
equate to the same. I venture that Tom has a point that the system tray 
makes the decision for the user. I'd prefer in his case a setting that 
tells the tray wether an icon can become invisible if the service is 
inactive... per service.
