plasmate and tabs

hi...
who decided that plasmate should use tabs for indentation and random
whitespacing in various places, e.g. inside of ()s? or rather, since it's the
more important question: why?
we have a coding style, and i expect all core components to stick to it. i
don't care as much about the things in kdeplasma-addons as there's some
leniency there for "this is someone else's work which may not be too tightly
bound to the main plasma project", but even there it's nice to have
consistency. but for components that are (or will be) part of the central
plasma project of code, that coding style is not optional as far as i'm
concerned.
