which also reminds me:

the slide-in/out effect should bypass other plugins like scale in; right now 
those kwin effects and plasma's internal effect hacks conflict and look bad. 
once the sliding is a kwin effect, though, this should hopefully be easy to 
address. Lubos should know what the magic dance for that would be :)
