Notifications not automatically hidden anymore

Is there any hidden option to disable this new behavior? I'm using a netbook 
and it's quite annoying to have always the "Recent---app1---app2---app3" 
notification, also this is not perfect because of the small screen has my last 
10 notifications always ready to be shown.
