It appears you are referring to 4.2, in trunk nearly everything is 
implemented.

That feature would be hard to implement for string-identifiers. Btw. You can 
right click on the applet and choose "Jump to Strip ..." to choose a 
date/number directly (KDE 4.3). You can access the same feature by clicking on 
the comic identifier if you show it. (KDE 4.2 and maybe already KDE 4.1)

Right click on the comic and choose "Store current Position". (KDE 4.3)
