ew, yes, it does sound evil :) maybe we can find a better way in future, but 
for now ...... (do they also disappear on Key_Escape?)

and when you say "mostly working" is there some aspect of them that doesn't 
work with this hack?

yes, i think so. we should pick an easy one and a hard one imho: kmix and 
kopete perhaps?

yes; taking it to k-c-d first would also make the most sense :)
