Hi,

I would say we should really take the new widget since i don't think we can just shortly add some grouping functions to the old widget.
The new widget actually worked quite well, but now i introduced some new problemes while turning the LayoutWidget from a QGraphicsItem into a QGraphicsLinearLayout(so we don't have a widget that is covering the groupwidget, which is useless).
As soon as i have done this i need some help from people with skills on making the expanded group looking good.

btw: aaron, thanks a lot for merging the lib and diggin in the dirt =)

Regards

no idea; to be honest i haven't looked at that code recently.

we have two options for 4.2:

* take what we have in kdebase and add some basic features to it; grouping by
application should be trivial now

* give the code in the new widget a good looking over, clean up and move that
over

without having looked at the new widget in detail, i can't say which is a
better plan at this point.
