tasks-refactor crashing, panels not restoring correctly

Hi,

I'm getting plasma crashes often when I open a Konqueror Window. It seems to 
happen somewhere in the taskbar (using the one from playground, I'm running 
playground applets on top of base). Bt attached. The annoying thing is that 
plasma doesn't restore my panels correctly. It does with the main panel. I've 
got a second panel on top (centered, autohide, with the activity bar in it). 
That second panel is full-width, empty but still autohide after plasam 
restarts itself.

Another glitch I'm noticing is that the applets in the main panel don't grow 
vertically anymore. After making the panel slimmer and higher again, the 
applets only fill the upper part of the panel -- killing the large hitareas on 
the screen's bottom edge.

Both regressions have snuck in in the last two / three days.
