an effect like the glass would require different backgrounds for vertical 
panels also for the not 100& panels, so the panel theme from 5 prefixes will 
go to 8.
themes would be harder to do (but still fallback to a single set for not 100% 
no not a prob) but would they consume more memory? maybe caching mitigate the 
issue right?
anyways i suppose it could be a good thing to do regardless of the theme 
chosen, imo
