It's an alternative to raptor.  Not everyone will want Raptor, just as not 
everyone will want Kickoff, not everyone will want the traditional menu and 
not everyone will want Lancelot.  Some crazy people might want all of them.

Plasma: The Choice Is Yours (TM).

The only question is which one we use by default, but the current lack of an 
alternative makes that a moot point at the moment.
