Hi again, I just wanted to add some test results.

I installed kubuntu in a virtual machine, it worked fine (the issue was not
there). This was without backports repository, so the parley version was 0.9.1.

I added the repository "backports", then I got the 0.9.2 version of parley in
this kubuntu. This time it didn't work fine (I could reproduce the error).

So finally, I removed the backports repository on my normal Ubuntu with gnome.
I reinstalled parley to get the 0.9.1 version and it worked fine. The error is
not there.

Then I guess it can be due to still unstable version of parley? anyway, I will
stay with the 0.9.1 version and I will not add the backport repository again.
