[Parley-devel] [Bug 185878] Application crashes when trying to add a second word entry in a certain lesson

Hello David,

I attached to the issue a config file for parley. Maybe you are now able to reproduce the issue.

Anyway, it is not so uncommon, cause I was able to reproduce it in my ubuntu at home, and in a ubuntu that is inside a virtualbox, at work, normal ubuntu with the addition of xubuntu-desktop package, and using xfce.

Maybe is it any problem with kde environment? I mean, my ubuntus are standard gnome ubuntus, not Kubuntus. Maybe if you don't have the whole kde installed, then it doesn't work fine?

You can try it, for example in a virtualbox, installing the ubuntu (without k) intrepid release, and then installing parley. The necessary kde dependences are installed, but not the whole kde. And then you get this behaviour.

Anyway, I understand this is a lot of work just for testing one issue. If there were something additional that I can report..? After crash ocurrs, I only get messages of (no debugging symbols found) so I guess this output is not very useful..

Thank you for your fast reply

I tried this on parley .9.2 on kde 4.2 from Ubuntu repositories, and I can't reproduce this.

I opened the file, changed to the 1 Marzo lesson, and clicked "add new entry" a few times.

It didn't crash for me -- is there anything else I need to do?

Created an attachment (id=31719)

The parley file where you may be able to reproduce the issue

You can try to open this file inside parley and try to add several white

entries in the "1 Marzo" subsublesson. If it works, then the problem should be

somewhere in my local configuration (or maybe the parley version in the ubuntu

repositories is still not fixed for that, my version is 0.9.2)
