I was talking to Rich on IRC but he made the bug report nevertheless.
The Amarok channel confirmed what I said: Suse should not have included such an app as it is not released as beta. A bug report against Suse is the first thing to do. Amarok is only alpha and as such is not finished. The Amarok team is well aware of this problem and will work on it on due time.
