To reproduce:

1. Click Application Launcher (Kickoff).
2. While Kickoff is displayed, click somewhere else on the panel. Kickoff should disappear.
3. Without moving the pointer from the position it was in the previous step, click again. Kickoff will appear again even though you're not clicking on the Application Launcher.

Work around:
Move the pointer after step 2 above.

This happens almost every time for me. The same happens with the digital clock applet.
