Actually ... two cards *does* mean I can't use "MergedFB" support
since that option is explicitly for combining scanout buffers on a
single head, in the radeon driver. The XRandR stuff is nice, but it
looks as though I still can't use DRI with it; and the current git
Xorg server appears to be unable to POST secondary cards too, so I'm
screwed on two counts.

As for "unrelated and thus you can't ..." ... how come most window
managers manage to work just fine with multiple screens?
