PanelSvg not reacting to themechanged()

So I've been attempting tackle resolving the broken
response to theme changes and it appears to center
around PanelSvg.  Plasma::Svg updates correctly on
themeChanged().

PanelSvg is now based on Plasma:Svg but for some
reason it does not update on themeChanged().  My C++
inheritance fu is weak so I'm having trouble
understanding why.  When I create a new slot in
PanelSvg that does a clearCache() and emits
repaintNeeded(), then PanelSvg updates.

Any ideas?
