After pressing Ctrl-F12 the dashboard does not show up as expected for 15-20 seconds. During that time however the mouse-cursor etc. stays responsive.

Steps to reproduce:
- start KDE4.0.3
- launch some apps
- press Ctrl-F12

It does work "quite quick" however after having returned from "show dashboard" one time and doing a second "show dashboard". So I suspect it needs some time for "initialisation"? But the dashboard is already loaded at that time, isn't it?
