 mtweak: and with it all your other settings, application data, etc. deleting your entire $KDEHOME is a very blunt hammer to apply to a problem such as this. removing share/config/plasma-appletsrc in this case would've been enough, as would have making sure all your plugins were actually compiled against the version of libplasma that was installed.
