Summary: Plasma crashes on booting into KDE 4. Kubuntu Hardy
Heron 64-bit, updated through 21 MAR.
Product: plasma
Version: unspecified
Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: crash
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: panel-devel kde org
ReportedBy: donbnfborn aol com
Version: 0.0.1 (using 4.0.2 (KDE 4.0.2), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.24-12-generic
KDE 4 on Hardy Heron was very stable up until the most recent updates (20 MAR). After today's updates, cannot boot into KDE 4 -- the graphic runs, the music plays, and plasma crashes. Have deleted the .kde4 hidden directory and re-installed KDE 4 entirely -- no change. KDE 3.5 is fine. Backtrace below ("no debug symbols" lines omitted for brevity):
Using host libthread_db library "/lib/libthread_db.so.1".
