Sorry it took me so long to reply. but I forgot my laptop was in powersaving mode so it took all day to compile.

I did a clean rebuild and I discovered that the extragear/plasma modules weren't being rebuild. (I've been using the kdesvn-build script). Manually rebuilt it and they work. sorry about the false report, but thanks to the prompt help.
