Lock/logout interactions

hmm... what about hibernate/suspend options? I do find it a little silly that 
I have to have klaptop from kde3 running and use that to hibernate my laptop.

actually, I just got olpc, and it... doesn't seem to *do* hibernate. just 
shutdown, reboot and "register". it... doesn't even turn off the display when 
I close it (I can see the light coming out the gaps, so much for 
weatherproofing) so I'm guessing there's no lid switch to tie an action 
to... :(
and no, hitting the power button doesn't do anything there. shame really.
the lack of options is driving me effing nuts.

personally I'd like to have the leave-options presented when I press a 
computer's power button. or maybe have it hibernate in the case of 
laptops... :) it's just another button really, why can't I bind it to 
whatever action I like?
