Urtzi, as far as i know, that "window" is folderview and that's how it's intented to get (beside other features) that file managing behaviour on the Desktop that we had at KDE3.

You can always place icons on the Desktop but they would lose file managing capabilities, being more like a shortcut or a link, e.g. if you delete it it wouldn't delete the file.
