I confirm that it is slow on first time use .. hey but 15 seconds is very slow .. 

It takes like 4-5 seconds on my PC. And this happens only when calling CTRL+F12 "for the first time"

using latest NVIDIA driver, and 512MB VGA NVIDIA Geforce 8600

KDE 4.0.5
