In the latest OpenSUSE packages versioned as 4.0.82 the systray problem with Pidgin is solved, except that the icon background of all icons is not transparent. Additionally, all icons are better aligned now to the systray (vertically centered). As far as I can see, there is a progress ... ;-) Thanks
