After updating plasma, it now starts fine... There still is the line

plasma(15674)/libplasma Plasma::Applet::load: offers is empty for  "folderview" 

I will look into what there package I have to recompile to (in gentoo I have plasma and libplasma) update the folderview plasmoid(?). Eventually I will probably also have to find out how to make full backtraces.
