If you use OpenGL for rendering desktop effects the panel and at least the center part of the 'panel-background.svg' is completely transparent no icon, widget or task is shown and cannot be clicked anyway. They are just gone.

This is another rendering problem with OpenGL in KDE4SVN in addition to this bug:
