Here is a valgrind leak check for plasma. I started, minimized/maximized konversation to see the increase in xrestop and killed plasma with kquitapp.
I see that 2,371,670 bytes are still reachable, the most of them comes from a QFontMetricsF usage. Can be this the problem? I'm unsure if valgrind really catches X resource usage...

(BTW Folderview also has a problem according to the log).
