I see the icon applet like it is now as a mere application launcher, both in
the panel and in the desktop, think about the icons in the old kicker for
instance so there will be only few of them. oh and try the trashcan applet
that has an action icon, if you stretch it and make it big the action icon
would appear totally unrelated to the main icon
for a desktop folder filemanagement maybe in the future will be possible to
slap in even a dolphinview, so this will be the ultimate uhm, well,
whatever :D
for now i would really restore it
