Not completely on topic, but I don't find it too off topic either so I'll post it here.

On my system the dashboard view is "too fast" (in my opinion of course), it doesn't give you the smooth feeling. Rather it feels like a slap in the face. The fade out is rather pleasant though.

I have composite for KWin enabled. (Strange enough, I use an old nvidia driver).
