The plasma panel at the moment is extremely large, and I think that it can be improved by changing it slightly as showing in the following mockup:

As you can see from the mockup, I think it would be better if the large icons (the K menu icon and the device notifier) would go over the transparent part of the panel and the tasks to be much smaller, because it produces an annoying unsolvable bug that shows favicons and various applications with stretched icons, which is very ugly. I think that the tray icons should be on one row becuase it lets larger icons have more room. I hope you can consider changing the plasma panel.
