Dan, I don't believe it's that different since
1) the toolbox is animated and at least some comments like comment #5 and comment #14 indicate that this is part of the problem.
2) All the sources outline the "option of the user" part very strong, related to comments like comment #4 and comment #6, what handling this wish as WONTFIX does not respect.
3) See here also my last comment to bug #154485 why I guess that this all falls into the same category. Well, also http://weblog.obso1337.org/2008/desktop-zooming-wtf/ is related here and it all comes down to the same issue; That feature is not done yet. So, for me it makes quit sense to try to bundle the different requests on a not yet done functionality to one single report rather then to open here n^m different reports for each single aspect.
