tbh, i find the idea of colourschemes that alter the relative colour value of 
one set of colours and not others to be rediculous. the whole point of a 
named palette is to provide colours that work together. when that principle 
is messed with, it makes it nearly impossible to actually *use* the palette 
in a uniform method.

just using text() for all the text isn't an option, aesthetically speaking. 
neither is using highlightedText() unless there is highlight() behind it.

patches welcome, but i'd like it to also look like nice with a conventional 
colour scheme as well.
