yes, we're going for something a bit more expressive than SuperKaramba 
(abstracting DataEngine as a general case, rather that having sensors for the 
specific case of hardware being an example) ..

as we go, though, if you find places we should be doing better with API 
expressivity, speak up =)

it is immportant we keep our eyes on it, but also important we don't get side 
tracked by possible problems that don't exist.
