Tobias Hunger pointed out to me that it would make more sense to put it in decibel, so as not to introduce a dependency on decibel somewhere else.

To test it you need to use the plasmaengineexplorer to see the data and the decibel command line demos (they install to $KDEDIR/lib/Decibel) to make it actually have some data to read.

I'm working on a plasmoid for it at the moment...
