plasma is not kicker, nor will it ever be. besides being too vague a report, plasma is not meant to duplicate kicker or kdesktop but to create a desktop shell that improves on each. you don't improve by simply copying. in that case we may as well just have kept what was already there.

a lot of features will be similar, due to good ideas being, well, good ideas. but there will be a lot of divergence as well.

get comfortable with different.
