hint: Applet::Private::init() calls setDrawStandardBackground(true) which
creates a new svgpanel and then updateGeometry() - this is probably a bit
early and something's confused in the svg stuff.
oh, and hte clock sets its min size in the init, not hte constructor. which is
probably the real issue in this particular case.
I bet this'll be so easy it'll be fixed before I wake up :)
