multiple desktops and background painting

i don't think  if I've understood this correctly.. but when every virtual
desktop is a containment wouldn't this open up the possibility to have
different plasmoids on differend desktops? would be really cool!

btw: isn't using a containment for every virtual desktop much more ressource
intensive? (ram wise)
