um, when I said it could depend on the formfactor, I meant you should check 
the FormFactor Constraint. :)
however, that may need to be done at the applet level. the widget class just 
doesn't seem to know about these things.
also... I know very little about layouts, but wouldn't widgets inside an 
applet that uses layouts end up using the taskbarfont with that patch?
