Focus handling

Hi,

I have small paste text snippets applet under work. User interface is similar 
to device notifier, so when applet is on panel it shows icon and opens dialog 
when pressed. This does not steal focus from currently selected application 
and it works. When applet is placed on the desktop it shows just the dialog. 
When selecting text from there it moves focus to desktop(?) and text is not 
pasted to right place. Is there a way prevent this?
