Summary: cannot change between tabs on scrolling on them (scroll
                    wheel)
           Product: plasma
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: SuSE RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: panel-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: alexzeze yahoo com

Version: (using KDE 4.0.3)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

Tabs as implemented in KDE cannot be changed by just placing a mouse on a tab and scrolling on it to change the tab. This however has been implemented in Gnome for a long time and is what I use to assess the progress of KDE. Ironically, this functionality has been implemented in some KDE apps like amarok (in the edit track information dialog), and in Konsole's tabs. This begs the question, cant the tab widgets be implemented using the code in amarok (which can change tabs on scroll wheel?).

If you want confirmation of what I mean, go to any KDE app and go to the help -> about dialog. Try scrolling to another tab e.g. translations or about author. You cannot do this unless you actually click on the tab you want to change to. This is real;ly annoying and even more so that some apps have implemented their own working versions of the tab widget and the plasma guys are too arrogant to incorporate code from another project.

This is a must have feature!
