I would miss the resize feature if it's removed. How about adding 
setResizeEnabled and setRotateEnabled, those would be nice to have even if 
rotate & resize work as expected. Also using same button for resize and 
rotate feel awkward to me. When resizing applet I also tend to rotate it a 
little bit unintentionally.
