I use Rev: 736006 and the handles are very slow on my system. I have a 1.4GHz 
Athlon, a Geforce 4 using the nvidia-drivers and 1.5 GB RAM.

If I e.g. add the cartoon-plasmoid, or the fuzzy-clock and click on the 
zoom/rotate icon, then drag the mouse very slowly to the side KDE just stops 
redrawing, even the content of the konsole which runs top to see what 
CPU-usage this causes. After >7 seconds the konsole redraws and the plasmoid 
is redrawn the first time.

I removed my .kde4 dir, so there should be no old config in the way.

The move-button behaves similarly slow.

If you do export QT_FLUSH_PAINT=1 and start plasma afterwards you see quite a 
few redraws of the handle-area when moving the mouse on/off that area, but 
that might be on purpose.
