[Panel-devel] [PATCH] background dialog

Hi,
I have been working on a new background selection dialog with previews 
and (not yet finished) package support. This is a preliminary patch: 
there are still a lot of quirks to fix, but I would like to commit asap 
so others (jpwhiting?) can help.
Most of the complexity is caused by having all the rendering and image 
scaling happening in separate threads.
I hope to get some feedback on my multithreaded code. I'm not an expert 
in multithreading, so I'm not sure that there are no big synchronization 
mistakes.
