cool. sounds like a good addition to our growing collection of add-ons in 
playground/base/plasma; eventually we could either ship this as a general 
addon if made generic, or with amarok if it is amarok specific.

i imagine there is a dbus interface for this. there's at least one or two 
amarok coders ont his list, perhaps they could enlighten you =) in any case, 
sounds like a good candidate for a "standardized" dbus interface.
